Gamma Exposure (GEX) Analysis#
- Identify current Gamma Environment (positive or negative)
- Note key GEX levels: High Gamma (HVL), Call Wall, Put Wall
- Identify the Zero Gamma level
- Note any significant GEX flips that could change market behavior
Positive Gamma Environment: Market makers hedge by selling into strength and buying into weakness, suppressing volatility and creating mean reversion.
Negative Gamma Environment: Market makers hedge in the same direction as price movement, amplifying moves and increasing volatility.
Market Context#
- Check ES/SPX overnight range
- Note any significant overnight moves (>0.5%)
- Review VIX level and term structure
- Check economic calendar for today’s events
- Note any earnings that could impact SPX
Technical Levels#
- Identify previous day high/low/close
- Mark key support/resistance levels
- Note any significant moving averages nearby
- Identify any gaps that need filling
- Cross-reference technical levels with GEX levels
Personal Readiness#
